I live and work (remotely) in DC, am originally from SoCal, run a bookclub, regularly attend art museum events, play sports, love to travel, and have an eye for design.
Cultural
Bookclub
Over 3 years ago I started a women’s bookclub as we were coming out of the pandemic. We meet in local parks, bring snacks, vote on the upcoming book choice, and regularly invite new people. It’s both an intellectual and social outlet, connecting back to my English major and reflecting who I am at my core — a connector.
Phillips Collection and The Kreeger Museum Member
I’m a Contemporaries member at The Phillips, “America’s First Museum of Modern Art,” and The Kreeger, regularly attending exhibition openings, artist talks, gallery visits, and concerts. My love and appreciation of art started young, when my parents prioritized global travel and exposed us to famous works around the world. My knack for art history clicked senior year of high school when I took AP Art History and absorbed everything like a sponge. I then minored in it in college, and studied the art of the 2015 Venice Biennale while staying at Wake Forest University’s historic house, Casa Artom.
Sports & Events Management
Social Sports
I play in social intramural sports leagues through DC Fray, and am captain of my volleyball team. I also enjoy tennis, and when I first moved here I met a lot of my initial friends through kickball on the National Mall. Growing up I always participated in at least one sport, and my two main ones were competitive swimming and water polo. In California, I competed in 5 Junior Olympics for water polo. In college, I joined my sorority’s intramural sports teams and held the position of Intramural Sports Chair.
Sports Host & Event Staff
For the past 5 years I’ve worked for DC Fray part-time, refereeing and hosting sports such as cornhole, bocce, volleyball, kickball, and dodgeball. I also serve as event lead and act as brand ambassador at DC Fray-affiliated events such as Pride on the Pier, Union Market Ping Pong Tournament, Hungry Human Hippos, DC Polo Society Socials, and more. I have developed such a strong sense of community through these experiences.
Travel & Design
Travel
My parents instilled a love of travel in me, as they prioritized global adventure since I was young. However cliche it sounds, the world is big and it’s so important to experience different cultures, different climates, and different culinary delights. I’ve been to 24 countries across 6 continents, and my wanderlust will never cease.
Curation & Design
Every week I buy myself flowers and artfully arrange them in antique vases I’ve handpicked from vintage markets (or Anthropologie). I love the craft of floral design, and the joy it brings to people at an event or in their home. Along the lines of curation, I collect art when I travel (or simply when I’m inspired) along with antique pieces and tie these personal elements in with live flora to decorate my home. Each Sunday I go to my local farmers and flea market, keeping a keen eye out for my next inspiration.
FAQ
-
I grew up on an avocado farm in Riverside, California. Instead of a lemonade stand, my sister and I sold avocados for fun and would make good money. My dad initially picked the fruit and would charge us "taxes" until we got smart and picked it ourselves to lower costs.

My calendar. I'm a huge planner, and I use it to not only pencil in future events, but solidify my to-do list. I love keeping track of all the exciting (and free!) activities DC has to offer, like outdoor movies and after-hours museum nights.
